Upon moving to the United States, Paula Losada decided to further her training in the field of massage, creating her own technique for post-operative manual lymphatic drainage, including a painless manual technique for patients who have undergone aesthetic plastic surgery. She received instruction and theory from Dr. Jose Luis Ciucci and, in 2012, obtained her Certification in Lymphedema Therapy through the DLM technique. She also completed her Bachelor's degree in Therapeutic Massage in Miami, Florida. She is certified by the International Academy of Neuromuscular Therapy as a Neuromuscular Therapist and further enhanced her technique by completing a Master's in Kinesiotaping at the European Academy Euroinnova, a technique she utilizes in MLD.
